The process

Six steps. No guessing. Everything in one place.

From the moment you create your account to the day you track your refund, every step happens right here — with a status you can check anytime. If taxes came out of every check this year, this is where they come back to you.

  1. 01

    Create your free account

Sign up with your email and set your password. That account becomes your secure home for everything that follows — intake, documents, agreement, and status.

  2. 02

Sign the IRS Form 7216 consent

Before any tax preparation begins, the IRS requires your written consent for your preparer to use or share your tax return information. You review and sign this consent right in your portal, so it's done properly from the start.

  3. 03

    Complete your intake

Tell us about your year in your own words — income, household, anything that changed. No tax vocabulary required; the questions guide you through what matters.

  4. 04

    Upload your documents

Send your W-2s, 1099s, ID, and any other records through your portal. If something is missing, you'll see exactly what's been requested — each item has its own upload button, so nothing gets lost in a text thread.

  5. 05

    Review, sign, and file

Your status updates at every stage. Before filing, you review your return, see your fee in writing, sign your fee agreement, and approve the final version. Nothing is submitted without your sign-off.

  6. 06

    Track your refund

After your return is filed and accepted, a direct link to the IRS refund tracker is waiting in your portal — so you can check your refund straight from the source, anytime.

Questions, answered

Before you ask — here's the honest answer.

What if I'm missing a document?

That's normal — most people are missing something. Your portal shows a list of any documents that were requested and haven't been uploaded yet. Upload each one when you have it, and if you can't find something, send a message and we'll help you figure it out.

How much does it cost?

Your fee is written into your fee agreement before you sign anything. You see it, in writing, inside your portal — and nothing is filed until you've reviewed and signed.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return is filed and accepted, the IRS controls the timing. Your portal links directly to the IRS refund tracker, which shows the official status of your refund.

Is my information safe?

Your documents live in your own private account, accessible only to you and the staff preparing your return — not in an email inbox or a public form.

What if my situation changes after I file?

Life happens — corrected documents, missed credits, a change you didn't expect. Reach out through your portal and we'll look at what changed and whether an amended return is needed.

Ready when you are

Step one takes about two minutes.

Create your account, and the rest of the path unfolds right in front of you — with reminders for anything that's missing.
